Court Close Farm
This is a wing of a lovely mellow old farmhouse with private garden and a separate barbecue area on our small farm.
It is spacious, comfortable, completely self contained and extremely well equipped. Three bedrooms sleep five with cot and high chair on request.
We are situated on the outskirts of the village with about a 5 minute walk for essential supplies and inns.
Our meadows slope to the River Avon and fishing. We have panoramic views of Bredon, Cotswold and Malvern Hills and lovely historic Strensham church on a rise on the opposite bank of the river.
The village of Eckington lies between Bredon hill and the river Avon at the southern end of the picturesque Evesham Vale, renowned for its market gardens and fruit orchards and its spectacular Blossom Trail in the spring. Bredon Hill is the most northerly outlier of the Cotswolds and is surrounded by unique villages rich in history.
We are convenient for interesting visits to the market towns of Georgian Pershore (four miles), Tudor Tewkesbury and Upton on Severn (seven miles), Evesham (ten miles) with Malvern, Worcester, Cheltenham and Gloucester all fifteen miles away. Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon is twenty six miles away.
Finally, a snippet out of my visitors book: “If a Yorkshire man parts wi’ his brass without complaint and says all his party were reight suited, by gum, he must have had value for money”. A very clean, comfortable spot with more provided than expected by kind and caring hosts.
